How It Works

How to book a gig

Submit your booking or quote request

Visit our booking page and select In-person, Virtual, or Get a Quote. Share the details of your request and submit the form. For in-person gigs, choose the number of hours and select an available date and time from the calendar.

We'll reach out to confirm the details

We’ll reach out via your preferred contact method (email, WhatsApp, or DM) to discuss your gig. Once everything is confirmed, you’ll receive the gig details along with a secure payment link (Stripe or PayPal).

Complete your payment

Use the payment link to finalize your booking. Accepted payment methods include credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.

In-Person Gig

About

In-Person gigs are on-site tasks that require the physical presence of our locals, whether assisting with errands or providing a shared experience with guests. 

Meeting points

Meeting and dismissal points must be near a major station along the Yamanote Line (Central Tokyo). We’ll work with you to coordinate the exact meeting location that’s most convenient for you.

Time calculation

If your gig takes place outside Central Tokyo, any travel time after the meeting and until dismissal will be counted as part of the booked time.

Extra expenses

Transportation beyond the meeting point and any activity expenses (such as tickets) incurred by the local during the gig must be covered by the guests.

Pricing

Higher rates apply for shorter bookings to cover transportation costs and travel time for locals to get to the meeting point (Central Tokyo). A 10% tax will be added at checkout.

Virtual Gig

About

Virtual gigs are remote tasks completed entirely online. These may include, but are not limited to: trip planning, reservations, ticket purchases, online shopping, and other errands.

Pricing

All virtual gigs are offered at a fixed flat rate of $17/hr USD. A 10% tax will be added at checkout.

Time calculation

Tell us what you’d like help with, and we’ll review the details and get back to you with an estimated time and quote.

Cancellation Policies

Cancellation

  • 76+ hrs before start time: Full refund with an 8% processing fee deducted

  • 24-76 hrs before start time: 50% refund

  • Less than 24 hrs before start time: No refund

Rescheduling

One reschedule is allowed with at least 36 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Late requests (under 36 hours) are considered case-by-case and may be declined.

Other conditions

No refunds apply to no-shows or sessions ended early for reasons outside of Perf’s or the local provider’s control. Emergency-related cancellations may be reviewed by Perf on a case-by-case basis.

Our Safety Measures

Meet in public

​All sessions must begin and take place in public locations.

Vetted locals

Every local is interviewed, screened, and identity-verified before joining Perf.

Live location sharing

For added safety, locals' live location is shared during the session in case of emergency.
